Contello Home Automation
Over the last decade, Contello has designed, supplied and installed entertainment, audio visual and automation systems to businesses and homeowners around the UK.
However, with their business going from strength to strength, they needed to maximise their brand strategy to stay one step ahead of their competitors.
Eighty3 Creative used their wealth of experience to breathe new life into Contello’s brand strategy and digital solutions.
The Brief
Contello needed a new brand strategy that was in keeping with their forward-thinking services.
The brief exceeded the need for just a logo design and new website. Contello wanted to create a whole new visionary experience which helped evoke equal feelings of excitement and anticipation.
With a desire to continue expanding their services, Contello’s new brand positioning needed to maximise their value in the marketplace and be instantly recognisable when customers saw their logo in the media or on the internet. As a result, this new look and feel would help establish themselves as pioneers within the automation and smart technology industry.
The Result
With home automation perceived as a sign of premium quality and the future, we wanted to create a new brand strategy which encapsulated these perceptions.
In doing a thorough competitor analysis, we found a huge range of varying designs. Some good, some bad and others with misleading elements which could confuse customers.
In light of these discoveries, we opted for a minimal look and feel with the logo design. In doing this, we were able to create a logo which raises intrigue and looks right alongside Contello’s smart automation services.
In terms of our digital solutions, we designed a smart and clean website with a clear UX in mind. The burger menu keeps the navigation bar from looking cluttered, while the scrolling hero images provide the customer with clear snippets of information to entice them to navigate through the website. Below the fold, we used boxes to compartmentalise each section and continued the modern and minimal feel.
Another element to the brand strategy proposition was to produce stationery and printed materials, such as brochures. The design for these extra elements also reinforced the clean and modern identity we helped to form, with smart boxes for the content in the brochures and a minimal feel for the stationery. The new brand was launched at Grand Designs Live at the NEC in Birmingham, receiving excellent reviews and top results.
